Can someone please explain why the '49 card is more expensive? Thanks

Slightly better OF D plus hitting strength versus righties, rather than lefties.

Stan '49 was my suggestion. :D

One of my favorite players. He doesn't hit the ball quite as hard in '49, but lots more walks, higher OBP, and his best position is OF rather than 1B.

I'm really looking forward to this Musial card. If I've got Stan, I'll use the '48 card when there are a lot of LHP in the league, and the '49 card when RHP predominates.

It's nice to have the alternatives. And he does only have 3 OF errors, which gives him an excellent glove at either OF corner.

It's a good card for Musial, and widens the player pool at higher caps, which becomes competitively narrow at 200M.

Agreed. Although we have other Musial cards, this one is really different from the others. I feel that the same can be said for the Hornsby card. In Hornsby's case, the defense is weaker, but he can really HIT, and at an affordable price.
