any word on changing the FA draft order so that it is indeed reverse of the team selection draft?

For anyone thinking about this but figures the results are all about where you pick in the team draft here are some results from the last league we ran:
Finals are the teams drafted #4 & #12.
Teams drafted #2 & #8 made the playoffs.
The teams finishing 2nd in each division were drafted #3, #5, #17 & #23. The team drafted 23rd overall was in first place after 159 games but was swept the final day and finished one game out of the playoffs. Apologies to YountFan if this brings up bad memories.

So while drafting early helps (teams drafted 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 finished 1st or 2nd) it isn't necessary (teams drafted 12, 17, and 23 also finished 1st or 2nd). A lot of help can be found by drafting free agents that aren't necessarily the best but those that fill in holes in your lineup that will make your team competitive.

Fun league with good guys and a good player set for old guys (yes, I have to admit that I am now old).

I'm ready and waiting...not sure of draft order (would be nice if I'm actually #1!). Wait for Geoff to check in...

Hi - awesome!!

I will make some posts here this afternoon. Just checking in this morning.

At least one person said they were away - I think they're back after Thanksgiving.

We can get started, but I'd like to patient for people that will be travelling this week.

I'll post the details this afternoon.

Looking forward to this second season just as much as the first time!

I think the original idea was to start the draft after the holiday. Probably good to at least get a randomizer done for the first 12 picks so people can think about it but waiting until after the holidays is probably a good idea so we don't have any pressure to be near internet instead of family.

Just me and my wife this year so I have no problem starting now but everyone else may actually have a life so waiting to start the actual draft is better. And I call Cincy again. Didn't work last league but maybe I will have better luck this time.
