I see they are 11/23 in one run games and 22-6 in games decided by 5 or more runs, but I am pretty sure this is impossible so major league baseball must be normalizing results of games. I would like a full explanation from the league office on how this possibly could occur.

Exactly. Clearly there is some kind of manipulation going on to prevent Toronto from winning these close games. And if they fail to explain it we need to call in to all the sports talk shows and demand they start talking about this situation.

Additionally teams cannot be allowed to go this far from the expected win percentage or people may start to doubt the absolute perfection of this sabr stat. And one has to shudder at where that might lead.

Best run differential by far (172 to 108 next best) no playoffs. Team went 86-76, but Pythagorean says they could have been 94-68. They were actually 26-25 in one run games, 9-6 in extra innings. GO FIGURE! :x :twisted: :roll:
