Need Another Lefty Bat?

PostThu Jul 02, 2015 11:22 pm

Given the 2 high Si LH parks and the other HR LH park in my division, would it make sense to swap out maybe Anson for a LH bat with good obp and can hit homers?

Even playing in a park like Forbes, I think it's always a good idea to have at least one guy with power. Certainly teams without them can win, but I've had success in Forbes with a big bopper and many others have as well. I don't think he necessarily needs to be left-handed, but you do have options like Kluszewski available, who bats left but can hit lefties also. It would be easy to swap Anson out for him. You have virtually no power now.

I hope some others chime in for additional thoughts. Good luck, Bill.

Thanks.

I was thinking lefty since I have 3-4 parks outside my division that are heavily slanted to the left for HR's. I don't usually concern myself outside the division, but in this case, maybe I could take advantage of it.

I could always move Delahanty to 1B and get a lefty LF.

You could make that move if you wanted to go with a LFer; I noticed Callison's available; good power and good arm. I didn't look extensively, but you have some other options, too.
