new team, what do you think?

PostSat Jun 27, 2015 3:29 am

here is my new team:

http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/1401482

trying several versions of players cards for the first time (anson, wagner, etc...). stuck with browning in cf. all the 1e's that could help my team are taken. i know i am getting a sh*t ton of errors between 2b and ss.

how do you think they will do? my division is all forbes field.

your 70 errors at 2b and ss plus a 2 in cf will kill you. i love honus for a dh but not for rf plus you need a couple of lhbs on your team. i'd start with a lhb with a good arm and no more than a 2 in rf. i'd get rid of suggs for a 2-3 mil rp. without knowing your options at ss and 2b i can't suggest alternatives. good luck

That 0 arm with 13 errors in CF will get run on every day with all Forbes teams around.
those 40 errors as you note will also hurt...perhaps you could dump 2.42 Hardin (a throw away pitcher) and pick up someone like 1.61 Frock (also a throw away, but will likely do at least as well and save you $0.81).

With the $.81 you can go from 6.66 Dahlen to 7.43 Trammel and save yourself 26 errors plus get a max 3 game injury guy.
(Or of you want to get a little cheaper on a backup like Kress or O'Rourke you can get a LH bat in Pop Lloyd).

Either way, I think those relievers will get a lot of work and your squad will give up 2 errors per game and see every team test your OF arms.

could not help but agree about running browning out there. so i switched him for lofton (it was him or l.waner) even though he is a lefty. i can really see any way to get rid of those 70 errors up the middle. all the normal small ball guys are taken at 2b/ss.

better?

delahanty just became available. should i drop lofton and get delahanty to play cf? i am not really concerned about being overly righty heavy.

I would go with Delahanty anytime over Lofton. Another player I have been extremely successful with in 60/80/100m caps in Forbes is Max Carey..he is a 2(-10) in CF and LF and a 1 in RF. Here is just a sample from an even higher #125 cap:

To many teams, not enough time! Must be an addiction!!

Personally I would never go with a 12 million dollar player unless I expected him to drive in 150 runs just don't think you are going to get your money's worth at SB to me only Sb worth that money is Hornsby
