One, perhaps the single greatest, thing about this ATG business is learning stuff. Until our draft I never knew anything about George R. Stone. I now know he won the batting crown in 1906, beating out Nap, was Jewish and held out for a $5000 contract in 1907. He didn't last in baseball long, as he was kinda pining to get back to banking. Definitely my kinda guy in his contrarianship.
Yeah, it's too bad about that throwing arm, I suppose, but he's a regular on the Distraction squads from now on.
