Outts Leftfield, thanks for mentioning You Know Me, Al. I used it as a bedtime story for my kids when I could still choose the book.

Non Fiction: Sandy Koufax: a Lefty's Legacy.

Favorite Baseball books
1) The Year the Mets Lost Last Place by Paul Zimmerman and Dick Schaap. Even though I am a Cubs fan, it was hilarious. A day by day coverage of the 1969 season.
2) A Thinking Man's Guide to Baseball by Leonard Koppett.

Books: David Halberstam's "The Teammates", most of anything by Tom Boswell.

Movie: "Bang the Drum Slowly"
Sentimental favorite: "The Kid From Cleveland" with the Indians that won a World Series... seriously, they won a World Series once or twice! Veeck, Boudreau, Doby, Gordon, Hegan and the gang. Johnny Berardino was robbed of an Oscar.

summer of '49 by one of the best authors ever. He can make you believe you are sitting on a stoop in New York listening to a game 65 years ago. also one of the best pennant races ever.

I just picked up a DVD from the library about the Negro Leagues. It is called, "Pride and Perseverance" and it is a MLB production narrated by Dave Winfield. I have not seen it yet.

My favorite book is on the table with the cards, the big thick Baseball Encyclopedia. Call me nerd.

Movies, well...

Eight Men Out
For the Love of the Game
Babe
42
A League of their Own
The Natural

I love baseball movies.
