Opponents are hitting .315 vs RH pitchers against you. You need to rework your SP*s....get rid of Higuera and Cicotte and get some BAL R starters. With Murray in your bullpen, you can go with a 3-man bullpen. Murray will get you 200+ innings if you list him for ALL EVERYTHING, and make sure nothing is checked on your Prefernces for your 2 specialist EXCEPT "do not use before 8th inning"....they will get you maybe 30 innings each. DROP Worrell and use the extra cash to upgrade your offense. With just 4 LH SP*s in your division to face, you have to many Bal L hitters. Keep Bagwell and Schmidt (he cant hit like that for a full season) and dump the rest!! Just my humble opinion!!!

What settings do you have for Percival that keep him from being used?
And what for Linzy that is getting him used so often?
I suspect the answer lies in what you are doing with Murray to try getting super reliever numbers from him.
But Percival is on team and among the more expensive closers. Might as well change some settings to let him pitch the 9th.

Changes may be a step in right direction. Next thing I would look at are options that might improve the poor performance offensively against RH pitching. That is a killer since they outnumber leftys in all but extreme theme leagues.

I have Percival set as closer and not to use before the 8th inning. Linzey was set up as specialist, but I've since changed that.

Looks like Chesbro and Sammy paid dividends in their first series for you!!!

I have Percival set as closer and not to use before the 8th inning.

So is your team always behind come the 8th inning so a closer is not needed? Or is this a case of Murray being setup and everything else combined with do not relieve before F0 or whatever?

Whichever it is for future teams I would either not use those settings or I would not waste top money on a closer. Spend a little more for someone better than Linzy. You say you no longer have him set as specialist. What other good is he?
