New: Your record by ballpark

New: Your record by ballpark

Postby bernieh » Thu Feb 03, 2011 1:38 pm

So here's a little loose end that's been dangling since I teased it late last year... [b:f3bb7f8cd1]Your Record by Ballpark[/b:f3bb7f8cd1]. Go to the "Your Teams" (or "Your Account") page that lists all your active teams, and you'll see a new tab for this new display (as well as another one for Your Record, which is just another, more convenient place to view your overall record/Manager Rating).

The new page will summarize your teams' success rates (average W/L, %, playoff appearances and Championships) for each ballpark, as well as show you the average BA/OBP/SLG and ERA/WHIP for those teams. It even breaks each ballpark down by the salary caps you played.

I know a lot more can be done with this (of course that won't stop you from throwing suggestions at me, but that's cool, feel free), but I'm hoping you'll find this is a swell start.

I'm dedicating this to The Rivs, who stressed that this was the #1 most requested feature among his fellow community veterans that he chats with... whether or not you have different priorities, do him and me both a favor and say you like it. :) In any case, it wasn't a big deal to add.

I know there's a certain fan site that manages to display individual players' stats histories as well. Yes, it's been gnawing at me. But there's a lot of technical issues that prevent me from offering that level of detail at this time, among which are the fact that we deal with a much more massive amount of data, on a much more interactive site, with many more daily users. Also, agabriel smells.

This is true.

I was hoping to see my 1986 results, but I'm being told "No teams."

But, What, exactly does he smell like? :?:

Does everyone's say Rock On or just mine?
Can I have inspirational phrases that I can add too?
I'd like to have one that says; Beat that ****!er ****'n S.O.*!

and oh yeah- that stadium thing you did is cool too.

Great Addition

Thnx Bernie, it just keeps getting better and better.

I know there are literall 100s of suggestions, but it would be nice if we could have an injury icon next to our teams, and possibly a trade icon as well. That way if we are a little lazy we can get a heads up to switch our line ups to account for a trade or injury.

Just food for thought.
