SportingNews.com is very proud to present:

[b:eb43c0b240]Strat-O-Matic Baseball: All-Time Greats VI[/b:eb43c0b240][/size:eb43c0b240]
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/about/player_set_atg6.html

For the first time ever, the All-Time Greats welcomes the [b:eb43c0b240]superstars of today[/b:eb43c0b240] into their ranks, headlined by future Hall of Famers [b:eb43c0b240]Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, and Randy Johnson![/b:eb43c0b240]

These modern greats join the ranks of the immortal old-timers like Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, and Walter Johnson, as well as the legends of [b:eb43c0b240]Strat-O-Matic's Negro League All-Stars[/b:eb43c0b240] set like Josh Gibson, Oscar Charleston, and Cool Papa Bell!

Among the [b:eb43c0b240]3,902 cards[/b:eb43c0b240], players can each have more than one card available to draft. Choose between Ruth's insane 1921 card and his more famous 1927 card, and take your team through a 162-game pennant race!

Getting to the goods:

- Here's the handy Excel file with all the players with their stats and salaries. Note the 2 worksheet tabs at the bottom to switch between hitters and pitchers. Also note that the 134 cards that are new to ATG VI are marked with a [i:eb43c0b240]"* new to ATG VI"[/i:eb43c0b240] field at the far right, making them easily sortable.

- You can immediately use your available "universal" SOM team credits to play, and even switch an existing undrafted team to ATG VI with ease. The item you want to purchase (or claim as a prize from a Finals team) is labeled "Strat-O-Matic Baseball Online: ATG, 2007-2009, 1999, 1986, Btt90s".

- Live Drafts for this set are available effective immediately!

- Although the majority of the player set remains the same as it was in ATG V, you'll note that we've made fairly significant updates to all the cards' prices, reflecting all of the feedback from the community we've received over the life of ATG V. We hope we've made a positive impact on the issues and concerns that you've raised over the past year.

- Regarding the fact that all of the new card additions are from the last 30 years only, I'll repeat what I said before: we collected a big list of desired new cards from the community and delivered it to Strat-O-Matic, but as is always the case, they only had the time to turn around a subset of it. Since the theme of the card additions for ATG VI is "modern", the subset they decided to focus on was the more recent years. They did acknowledge all the rest of the requests, and said they would like to get to them over the next year.

- The "Your History by Ballpark" feature that was teased earlier is not available yet. I hope to have it for you soon.

And otherwise, learn about everything else that's new with ATG VI on this handy ATG VI information page.

Thanks! Go play!
Bernie H.

And thanks for flagging the new guys on the spreadsheet, Bernie.

Can you do the same on DiamondDope, Adrian? It sure makes sorting and comparisons easier.

Thanks to you both,

Hank

Santana Error

Postby JOSEPHKENDALL » Thu Nov 04, 2010 12:13 pm

The $9.14M Santana listing in the player browser has 0 HR when in fact you look at his card and realize he gave up many HRs.
