concern about some players

Postby jagman2882 » Fri Nov 02, 2007 7:15 pm

i knw that it is probably still too early in my season to start making moves but i have some concern about a few players. http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2007/team/team_other.html?user_id=10216

my concerns are over Lackey, street, cabrera and scott
Lackey- he has already given up 16 HRs in 8 games

Street- he has almost blown as many as he as saved and righties are 13of26 vs him and all players r hitting .407

cabrera- his hitting is just what is killing me
scott- same here he is getting on base well but his avg sucks

any and all advice would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Lackey - homeruns are coming from hitters' cards

Street - hits are coming from hitters' cards

Cabrera - value is his defense, bat him low

Scott - high on base, bat him high

Mackowiak - platoon with who?

I'd hit Mack 1st, Scott 2nd vs RHP and Scott 1st, Cruz 2nd vs LHP.

Cabrera 8th or 9th - your preference. I'd hit him 9th, get a better hitter a couple more at-bats. Another veteran player would hit him 8th and have a better OBP hitter batting 9th in front of 1,2,3.

Righties are hitting Street off their cards.

It's a long season and it's all about dice rolls and probability. Players who shouldn't start hot do and cool off, players who shouldn't start cold do and heat up. Stick with your initial plan, the 20% drop is a killer.
