We need a clarification on how the time slots operate. My understanding was that you can't pick earlier than you time slot UNLESS there have been no "skipped" picks. Since sjkorte had been skipped, I thought that csjannajr couldn't pick until his time slot began. This may be the first time that it has really mattered, because I have seen several instances when the first pick of the day was made before the time slot (9:00) - but none of the skipped owners made a pick.

That is actually a great point. This is a bigger conundrum that I originally envisioned.

Hi,

I was the guy that started the time slots (and passed the idea on to Chuck) and Chuck used it correctly. If the guy in front of you has picked you can make your pick.

If someone earlier in the day missed their pick their time has passed and does not hold up the entire draft.

Lets use an example of our draft here:

Redbeards makes his pick at lets say 1:35
Buzz can make his pick at 1:36

What if Buzz has a meeting that was called at 2:00 pm now he is has to pay and miss his pick? No, because he checked in was watching the draft and trying to make a pick. He might not of had time to send a proxy could have been one of those you have to be there quickly meetings with no time to send a proxy. So by a player missing earlier in the day causes Buzz to miss a pick?

My understanding has been that you can pick if it is your time or the person in front of you has already selected. According to the rules, Smyly is yours.
