[b:9b627a1998]Awards:[/b:9b627a1998]

MVP - Kendry Morales

This was a tough call. Espinosa hit the most HR, Young drove in the most RBI & Gonzalez scored the most runs, but my offense just clicked better when Morales was in the lineup - perfect touch of OBP & SLG.

CY Young - CJ Wilson

Pretty much led or came close to leading the staff in all key categories. Almost won league CY too!

Rolaids Relief - Brian Fuentes

My pen pretty much worked as a team. No one stood out particularly, but I suppose Fuentes was the best of the bunch

Pleasant Surprise - Danny Espinosa

I knew he had some cheap SLG ... but did not expect him to lead the team in HR playing in a platoon!

Disappointing Performance - C. Gonzalez & M. Prado

I expected more from Gonzalez for sure ... and I needed more OBP setup from Prado. One of the reasons Morales became my mvp because he did what I needed Prado to do ... set the table for Gonzalez & co.

[b:0271dce515]Playoff Awards:[/b:0271dce515]

Playoff MVP - Jay Bruce

Tied for lead in HR & led in RBI & Runs. Honourable mentions to Espinosa & Howard (especially since Morales was injured a lot)

Playoff CY Young - CJ Wilson

He must have been upset at being snubbed for league CY! He dominated for the most part - and went toe to toe 2x with Halladay! Those 8 shutout innings in Game V were pivotal!

Playoff Relief - Brian Fuentes

Led/tied pen in IP & ERA & Saves ...

Playoff Surprise - Martin Prado

Woke up in time for the games that mattered and posted a .525 OBP

Playoff Goat - None

I would have said Drew, but he kicked started the rally that won Game VI of the Semis. Zambrano, but he pitched well enough in Game III of the WS to allow us to take the commanding 3-0 lead. Gonzalez drove in 10 runs despite a sub 800 OPS

Hard to complain when you won the WS and swept! 8-)

Hey guys - got a PM from Jeep wanting to know if I can join you for another season.

I take it you've been waiting for somebody to fill?

I can get a team in, hopefully by the cutoff Friday if you can hold out that long.

Happy I was successful with Ellsbury, Berkman and Gordon. I filled out my card so long ago I can't really remember if I had Kinsler on it, probably did, but wish I didn't - any interest out there for him?

As long as you have Kinsler in a HR park, he's OK. A pitchers park will net you a .195 avg. and paltry power numbers. That is the takeaway from my first 8 leagues that just ended.
