Palmtana has graciously agreed to take over Beach/Squid's team on short notice, so a shout out to him. If you've been playing this game awhile you've most likely already played in leagues with Palmtana or seen his name on the boards. Everybody welcome him aboard in true GMKL style...whatever that is.

I'll try and get another roster update out to you guys this weekend.

We will hold the stadium draft directly following the free agent draft.

As a replacement manager, Palmtana will have the first selection in the stadium draft, unless he trades Turner for another park before the draft.

If that happens he'll have Beach/Squid's slot in the stadium draft.

Clarification question KD - we have a min of 10 & a max of 15 drops. Is that gross or net? Meaning, I have a ton of prospect list promos, so was hoping to be able to cut more than 15 to accommodate them, but also meaning pre-draft my roster would still be between 25 and 30 only if I was allowed to cut more than 15, which I think is the goal of the min/max rule? If I can't cut more than 15 my pre-draft roster will be 32 as it stands.

I am pretty sure you are gonna have to cut two more prospects. I think the rules were designed that way. I brought this up last year or the year before.

2) Prospects are not counted as part of the 40 man roster while they maintain their prospect status.
3) Owners control the rights of their prospects for no longer than 2 years. At the end of 2 years (from time of draft) a prospect must either be promoted to the MLB roster or released.
4) Prospects can be traded, but the 2 year timeline remains constant for each prospect. Prospects moving from one team to another must be promoted or released when the original 2 year cycle has been reached.
5) Prospects can be promoted to the major league roster at any time, provided there is roster space available. Once promoted all prospects lose their prospect status, and cannot be demoted back to prospect status.

As the rule states, all prospects drafted in the 2007 prospect draft must be either released, promoted or traded before the Free Agent draft. Any traded 2007 prospect must be released or promoted by the acquiring owner.[/quote:613a70e77a]

A possible solution is to bring to the floor for a vote amending the rules to remove the maximum cut limit. thereby allowing the manger to constitute his thirty man roster as he/she sees fit.
