How about this one? Split the 24 teams into East, Central and West divisions based mainly on geography. 12 owners sign up and then a random number generator decides which division you end up in. You can only draft players from the teams assigned to your division. We can live draft it or AD, whichever works best. This is the way I split up the teams. We can adjust it for a relative equal talent pool if needed.

Philadelphia
Washington

CENTRAL
Chicago Cubs
Chicago White Sox
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Detroit
Kansas City
Pittsburgh
St. Louis

WEST

Minnesota
Oakland
San Diego
San Francisco
Seattle

I thought the West needed talent to make up for Seattle and SD so I put Minnesota out there but we could move them back to the Central and switch a different team out West.

You must chose a stadium from your division teams. If we live draft they could be unique or if we AD then there could be duplication.
