any conforming roster size is ok. We are not drafting stadiums. Select any stadium you like - duplicates are ok.

I am starting to wonder if the teams in the West need one more draft pick. And/or perhaps the Bills, Bobs, Jims and Johns should have their 2nd and 3rd picks wait til the very end of the draft because the talent left after Bill, Bob, Jim and John is pretty thin.

OK, I'll make those changes to the rules to make the teams more balanced.

I want to try and keep at least one theme league active in 1969, and there were at least a couple comments that shifting sands was too complex for some people's taste, This league is very simple because everybody on your team has the same name or names. The rule is simple: you draft by first name.

Helping the West and a little the Central will be an increased liklyhood of making playoffs because of playing those teams more via unbalanced schedule.You could also balance the draft more by randomly assigning ballparks to first 4 teams after first round, letting Central pick from only Central divisions, and letting West pick anyone they want. Or you could make top draft picks( east) pick ballparks before they draft Central pick after their first round pick, and let West pick theirs at end.

OK, I tried to keep the rules extremely simple, but making the league balanced makes it a bit more complex. Here is my final fix to make things fair:
"Richard" and Unique names get zero additional picks. William, Bob, Jim and John get 2 additional picks at the very end of the draft (rounds 6 and 7). The owner that picks "Mike" gets 3 additional picks (rounds 2, 3, and 4). All other teams get 4 additional picks (rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5).

There - I think that is fair. Keep in mind that the East Division has the first 4 draft picks so teams are competing against teams with similar draft oppotunites.

Regular rules -draft on diamond dope. So we have something going?We can still do others overlapping if they fill out.
