1969 RAISE THE MOUND! No hitters >2M -drafting

Our historical single season sets

I think Allstar made the right pick taking Held #1 overall. He's a lock to lead the league in HRs and probably RBI. Allstar's team also has excellent pitching with Carlton, McLain, Jenkins, Ron Reed, Marone, Lemaster. Plus speed with Campy and Kenney. And a late round steal with John Edwards catching. Meanwhile ugrant put together the best overall power team. And both are in the East. Tough division.

Playing in the West, I'm feeling like the first one to score wins.

This may have been answered somewhere in this thread but the draft is set up for 25 rounds. Do we draft 24 players and a stadium or just 25 players?[/quote:4e228a651e]

It should have been set up as 26 rounds - that was the original intent. We will simply do round 26 here on this thread, using the free agent list from DD.

I think it would be faster to simply say that you MUST pick a stadium during the live draft somewhere and then go to AD with your 24 picked players and put some other remaining player as your 25th player. At that point who cares?

This is how I was picturing it too. I was just thinking of picking another scrub fielder in the autodraft.

Although, I've been at the "who cares" point for a few rounds now. Yikes it's going to be some scary offense, and defense. Can I just have the pitchers do all the hitting and fielding? Maybe something like that fast pitch softball pitcher (I can't remember his name now), who would only need one fielder and one catcher to play pretty much anybody.

Ya my team got that badly needed left handed bat Dalton Jones   :)

Right now the available players list looks like items priced at a 99 cents store..

I've been pretty busy and haven't really been checking out the draft other than to put my picks in, based on what I thought was the best available. This morning I took a few minutes to check it out.

My team is gonna get killed.

Considering my record in these specialty leagues in the past, I know all of you are going to say, "So what else is new?"

I think ugrant has the second best team in the league and probably the league's high scorer.

My hitting and fielding are poor. I expected that. The really unexpected thing about my team is that my pitching is worse than most of my normal, autodraft teams. I think what happened is that a few teams hogged up most of the top pitchers. And by the way, if you are one of those teams, I could be interested in a trade; although I can't imagine anyone wanting any of my crap players.
