Equalizer League Loaded-Waiver Time!!!!

Postby caimrisek » Sun Mar 20, 2011 5:01 pm

I'm going to try getting interest in a single team theme league where you can pick your favorite team from 1986.

Basically, it will be your one selected team, plus free agents to get to 100 mil team salary.

Here are the rules.

As each owner signs up, they pick a team. Then Divisions are based on total team salaries - top team salaries in the East, lowest in the West. The league will be advanced, 100 mil, vote on DH, regular waivers. After 12 have signed up, we have a draft here on the board drafting only players that are not on one of the 12 selected teams. Draft in each round is in reverse of team salaries. Round 1: each team in West gets 1 pick. Rounds 2 and 3: each team in West and Central gets 1 pick per round. Rounds 3 and 4: each team gets 1 pick. Draft continues until each team has 100 mil in player salary. Then autodraft only those players on your team or that you drafted. Stadiums are the team stadiums - for example, if you pick the Yankees you also take Yankee Stadium. After the autodraft, waivers and the regular season run as usual.

As you sign up please put DH or NO DH after your name and team....

Also...there will be NO trading of picks or players picked in the supplemental draft until the supplemental draft is over and the league is created. Once the league is created...run it ALL OUT!!!

Here are the teams listed in order of salary (in Millions)...their total salary...and cap room....

I will put my name on the 12th spot and pick from teams available when it's my turn....

NY Mets - $97.38 ($2.62)
Houston Astros - $91.27 ($8.73)
NY Yankees - $80.93 ($19.07)
SF Giants - $80.03 ($19.97)
Detroit Tiger - $79.84 ($20.16)
California Angles - $79.54 ($20.46)
Philadelphia Phillies - $77.23 ($22.77)
Montreal Expos - $76.05 ($23.95)
Boston Redsox - $75.79 ($24.21)
Cincinnati Reds - $71.49 ($28.51)
Toronto Blue Jays - $71.33 ($28.67)
Chicago White Sox - $66.66 ($33.34)
LA Dodgers - $66.45 ($33.55)
Atlanta Braves - $64.97 ($35.03)
Pittsburgh Pirates - $64.49 ($35.51)

I like it.....just like the '69 league. I'll stay consistent and take the Indians.

UM...I don't think I want to have trading of picks or players drafted while the supplemental draft is going on. I want it to be cut and dry on the issue of your salary and what you have left to reach the $100M cap. Trading after the draft...once the league is created...will be run wide open...this will be reflected in an edit to the original post above....

I agree. Lets set this up with no trades until the pre-season (after the league is filled up and the auto-draft has taken place)

This was the season to forget for the Twins, which became easy in 1987! But I will give them a try. Haven't played '86 since the days when it was free....

NOW, where do I find the '86 player set?

Go to the main start up page look under the "big 3" of 2010, ATGVI & Back to the 90's...under there in small print are links to '09, '08, '07, '99 & '86....

:D

Thank you for joining!
