Pitcher hitting a Home Run in 1999

I just finished my 2nd 1999 league and in both leagues there wasn't a single pitcher who hit a homer. I find this very strange. In both leagues we had our share of Coors/Wrigley/Tigers type stadiums where there are lots of BPHR chances, and with all the dingers hit in 99, there are lots of homers on the Pitcher's cards.

There are a reasonable number of "N" rated pitchers being used, and both leagues were, of course, non-DH.

So, there isn't any chance this was just luck, is there? Does anyone else who played a 99 league have a pitcher who went deep?
