Strange stuff last night...

Postby Jimmy_C » Sun Jan 29, 2012 4:13 am

HAL left Tim Salmon out of my lineup for all 3 games in my 90's league last night. He was healthy for game 97 and actually played in games 97,98,99.

HOWEVER...HAL decided to leave him out for games 100,101,102 even though Salmon has clearly been in my lineup for the entire season. Something screwed up in HAL's tiny brain last night.

Just a public service announcement. Ive already e-mailed support, but you may want to check to see if he screwed up your line up last night too.

Wow...How about that. Bernie got back to me...on a Sunday no less. Now that's customer service.

It turns out that Salmon was injured in game #99, but because of a glitch in the system the injury didn't show up on the Front office page injury report. Something that's going to be fixed with the upcoming site rebuild.

That's customer service folks. Thanks Bernie. :D

Odd. Sounds like a situation serious enough to look into an immediate fix.

So did Salmon inexplicably get removed from game 99 seemingly for no good reason?

Does game 99 mention that he got hurt, but it just doesn't display on the homepage?

Hopefully it's just a bug that only appears under certain, rare circumstances.

Yes...that is exactly what happened. I didn't check the boxscore for game #99. Since it wasn't listed on the homepage it was very confusing why he wasn't playing. As Bernie said it's a glitch that will be repaired.

More than once, I've had HAL make defensive substitutions when I'm losing. In the 70s game, every once in a blue moon, he would pull my first string catcher for no reason. But I never saw anything like you described. I'm glad there was an explanation for it.
