Was looking back at some old leagues and this team won my division with 115 wins and lost in the final....I was able to stay close, I was only 51 games behind...lol. This was a 60 mil league....Anyone ever seen a 60 mil team this good...260+ hrs....wow

My Frito Banditos, with their 83-79 record, was the team that defeated yours in the finals. It was my first championship.

The 83-79 record is a bit deceiving. After 45 games, my team's record had been 15-30, but after doing some roster changes, one of which ended up getting Steve Carlton and his '72 season, my team then went 68-49 the rest of the season (a 0.581 winning percentage).

Your team had the best home record during the regular season, and my team had the 2nd best home record. Yet, I won Games 1 and 2 away from home, then was swept at home, and came back to win Games 6 and 7 on the road. The visiting team won every game in that Finals.

But to answer your question, your Bargain Bazaars team was impressive. As the saying goes, it's better to be lucky than good, and in the Finals, I was admittedly lucky.

That was my team. I hit strong cards from all my middle of the road players, but as usual, lost the final.

I like $60M leagues, especially no-DH.

I was in that league also (total non-factor). It was my 2nd 70's team.
Any interest in doing another? ($60mill, no DH)

I'm currently involved a $60 M no DH league (League Name Vegas - 63 games into the season). It's probably my favorite format. It helps that my two championships were both $60 M leagues. I tried to get one started for the 80s some time ago, but didn't get enough interest.
