Strange Pedro Borbon Injury

Postby pkwmati » Wed Sep 21, 2011 8:02 am

Pedro Borbon gets injured for 5 more games after getting Walt Williams (a righty) to ground out. Looking at Pedro Borbon's cards, there aren't any GB(b) at 6-12 v. righties on any of his cards. He does have a GB(b) on his 1975 card v. lefties, but Walt Williams is not a lefty.

Here is the game:

What am I missing?

I'm sure I've done this over the years playing cards & dice, but can this version make this type of mistake?

Question for the Super Advanced C&D players, is there a scenario that a strikeout is dropped and it get's recorded as a ground out?

I hadn't thought of that one. Although it should still be recorded as a strikeout, maybe this SOM-Online software records it as a groundout.

as per http://somonline.wikia.com/wiki/Comparisons_to_CD-ROM_Game

"Improve out distribution" is turned on and "Improve statistical accuracy" is turned off.

Based on that, I'd think it more likely that the flyout was changed to a groundout.

Unfortunately, due to the unknown factor, I would not take that injury into consideration when trying to determine the actual card.
