We didn't do semis. Looks fair to me.

Actually DT, we "did" do semis last year. I was in Lg. 2. I would post league standings but I'm never sure how to take League ID and do it.

We did indeed have 3 Semifinals Leagues last year, with seedings as posted above by [b:8097c15d33]C2,[/b:8097c15d33] same as scheduled this year.

Big Update!

Postby mesquiton » Sat Oct 10, 2009 5:32 am

Lots of changes in the standings since last week's update. Six leagues finished regular season play yesterday: The final league in Event 3 and the first 5 leagues in Event 4 start playoff action Monday.

Lots of shuffling among the leaders, and a bunch of new faces in (and out of) the Top 36.

With 22 teams (not counting fillers) headed for playoffs Monday, managers will keep moving in the standings for the next week or two.

Expect major action when final Event 5 leagues begin to report in 2 weeks, and low scores start to drop for managers completing their 5th event.

The last league, Ev5 Lg6, wraps up its regular season in 5 weeks, so the final 2009 standings should be set in stone by Thanksgiving.

Hats off to [b:6a636ce2f5]C2[/b:6a636ce2f5] for making that happen! 8-)

I echo the Sarge. Especially considering the "lost week," the tournament has gone extremely well, and I know it's a lot of hard work. Thank you C2 and everyone else who's chipped it. Bravo.

I guess I should have read the part that says there's a penalty for using the same ballpark more than once...

Maybe next year we could add penalties for using the same players more than once...

on TSN, I wish I had found these sooner. Thanks for all the work organizing this. I did not realize the penalty for using the same stadium twice, just dumb luck I did not do that, I suppose.

Event 5 Results

Postby mesquiton » Sat Oct 24, 2009 4:27 am

League 1 has finished regular season play, and first results are in for the final event. That means low scores dropped for managers finishing all 5 events. So, expect averages skewed up to several points higher for those managers, until all results are in.

Based on past years and projection of this year's current scores, looks like the bubble for the 36 Semifinalists will be in the 88-90 range. Final averages above 90 look to be pretty safe.
