I have a league drafting tonight (oddly event 4 while this is 3). If the other straggler decides to show up today I'll have second team drafting tonight, leaving me at a disadvantage in one.

Yes its a game but it's also $25 a pop and its a bit annoying.

btw, I am annoyed too given that waivers will likely be on a weekend afternoon.

Try living in Australia where waivers occur at 5am in the morning. :)
