[i:744a809ecd]Here's a question for Teepack:

The Tour Standings are updated to the tenth of a point. Several of these teams are separated by hundredths of a point. In the event of a tie, is the math extrapolated out to the full decimal place (thousandth?), or is it considered a tie if the fraction is rounded to the tenth (and then it goes to the posted event tie-breakers)?? [/i:744a809ecd]

If a tie can be broken by the numbers, even if it takes 15 decimal places, we'll use that. I don't think we play enough events for something like that happen, but I suppose it's possible.

Tonight's games in league 3 might decide a lot about near future:

current standing:

EAST Manager W L PCT GB L10 Strk HM RD RS RA
Hoboken Condos VII Sykes25 (2632) 76 77 .497 - 2-8 L6 38-37 38-40 670 620
Monkeys Typing Shakespeare J-Pav (2054) 73 80 .477 3.0 4-6 L3 38-43 35-37 635 637
CPD Blue Dreamcatchers7 Cubs48 (1811) 72 81 .471 4.0 7-3 W3 32-40 40-41 552 618
Seventh Tour BigAlric (877) 70 83 .458 6.0 7-3 W7 35-43 35-40 596 697

CENTRAL Manager W L PCT GB L10 Strk HM RD RS RA
Asia Carrera's Racing Stripe teepack (304) 84 69 .549 - 3-7 L3 45-30 39-39 714 690
Christy Canyon Passages pacoboy (2483) 80 73 .523 4.0 5-5 L4 42-36 38-37 706 731
No DH Blows giddyup81 (1367) 78 75 .510 6.0 6-4 W3 37-38 41-37 746 713
Lancaster JetHawks Ineluki (1296) 66 87 .431 18.0 6-4 W5 36-42 30-45 728 817

WEST Manager W L PCT GB L10 Strk HM RD RS RA
NorthPole SnowDogs IX kaviksdad (1568) 93 60 .608 - 6-4 L1 47-28 46-32 754 637
Intergallactic Event Horizon Woods007 (654) 82 71 .536 11.0 6-4 L1 41-34 41-37 738 684
Poutine Montreal marcus wilby (900) 80 73 .523 13.0 4-6 W1 46-32 34-41 1033 953
Seven of Five WARRIOR0510 (582) 64 89 .418 29.0 4-6 W1 34-44 30-45 709 784

Woods has definitively the edge on the WC spot, but his team is wounded, with Estrada and Snow (backups Phillips and Tracy) being injured for 2+ series.

Tonight's matchups:

woods faces marcus wilby. If woods win the series, he'll get a very solid chance of winning the WC.

pacoboy plays giddyup. The loser of this series will virtually lose any playoff hope--and any chance to make the final trip--- (winner will still need help).

j-pav plays sykes. Needs to win the series to secure his chance to do the final trip.

[i:f18aedd910]Up-to-the-minute[/i:f18aedd910]:

1. UTBill 98.64 (needs 65 wins to stay afloat)
2. [b:f18aedd910]Coffee[/b:f18aedd910] 98.43 (too soon to tell, but definitely on pace)
3. [b:f18aedd910]Riggo[/b:f18aedd910] 97.83 (got the sweep when he needed it most)
4. BigMahon 97.8 (destined for 12th??)
5. J-Pav 97.57 (last night's sweep hurt...headed for 13th!?!)
6. [b:f18aedd910]Spicki[/b:f18aedd910] 96.67 (4 up w/ 9 to play looks pretty safe)
7. Giddyup 95.26 (4 back w/ 9 to play)
8. Dneedle 95.14 (3 back w/ 9 to play)
9. Detroit 94.64 (too soon to tell, currently 5 back of WC)
10. Pacoboy 93.31 (2 back w/ 9 to play)

[b:f18aedd910]Bold[/b:f18aedd910] indicates team is currently in the playoffs.

In league 3,

my team swept woods' team. giddyup stays artificially in live in the wild card hunt by taking 2 out of 3 over pacoboy, but it appears that the 2-1 result will not be sufficient. Given that both jpav and bigmahon are in front of him, he probably needs to win his next 6 AND have some help. As for Pacoboy, he is now 2 games and a half out of the wildcard, and 4 games out of a division championship, with 6 games left. So he too virtually needs to win his next 6 games to get in the next round.

J-Pav got swept and is now definitively out of the playoff picture. The question is now if he has sufficient points to maintain his spot.

League 2 appears now to be out of drama, in terms of overall standings.

dneedle is virtually out of the playoff picture (perhaps officially out, as he can only hope for a tie). spicki's magic number to secure a playoff spot is 1. Pope still has a wildchance of making the top12 if he manages to win it all.

In league 1, Riggo was swept by moodywoody, so he is tied for first place, and has 1 game in hand for the WC. Chuckul was also swept, and is tied in first place as well, with virtually no chance for the WC.

So overall, if the tendency is withheld, dneedle, pacoboy and giddyup will fall short of the five remaining spots. spicki will move in front of bigmahon, but jpav will fall back of bigmahon unless he can win his last six games (if I am not mistaken). JPav will appear definitively out if he fails to do so, or if riggo makes the playoffs. A complete collapse of riggo could put him out of the picture.

This leaves us with :

1-7 teams with over 100 pts
8. spicki (99-100 pts with playoffs secured)
9. coffee, (on pace to 98-99)
10. UTBill, (on pace to 98-99)
11. riggo (must make the playoffs)
12. bigmahon (97.8 appears sufficient)
contender1: Detroit (needs to make the playoffs to rise in the 99 range)
contender2: J-Pav (must look for riggo's and detroit collapse)
wildcard: chuckul (could finish with 100pts if he wins it all)
wildcard: hendrix (could finish with 99pts if he wins it all)
wildcard: pope (could finish ahead of bigmahon if he wins it all)

Hey guys (Lucky, J-Pav, Cristano, Teepack, etc.), thanks for all the work you're doing for this thread! 8)

It's certainly adding to my enjoyment of this last league.

1,134 tour games ([i:2ef30258c3]plus playoffs[/i:2ef30258c3]) and it all comes down to six games ([i:2ef30258c3]and fractions of tour points[/i:2ef30258c3]) in a league that I didn't need to play, only to finish 13th.

And I thought golf was frustrating.

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
