Boxscore on TSN for today for Red Sox. First replacement for Adrian Gonzalez at first is listed as .............. Unknown Unknown. Apparently someone doesn't want it known he plays for the Sox. Does he enter the game wearing a bag over his head?

In a recent Boston game I watched some guy showed up behind home plate with a bag over his head. Lasted for one inning and he was escorted out.
 Security removed the guy. Not known if he was allowed to return and watch remainder of game without the bag.

Damn. I can't find the picture, but there was a spring trianing game for the Cardinals this year where they put a pinch runner on third. Apparently, the guys in the booth didn't have a card ready for the guy, so they flashed a card that said something like, "Fast Guy - Pinch Runner."

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know.

I was watching the game. the guy who came in for Gonzalez was Gomez He is listed under unknown Unknown, and you can see that he has the same line. So Unknown Unknown is known, and reported. I wonder if they put in unknown first, and then meant to replace it with Gomez, but left it in accidentally.

It was Gomez's first major league at bat, just got called up yesterday, so he probably was unknown to the person doing the stats for TSN.
