[quote:40ec39abda="Palanion"]Geez Rivs... If you dislike Strat so much. Why bother?

There was a checkbox about receiving Strat info. There always is. As a purchaser of the cards and dice and the computer games, and true Strat Fanatic, I embrace all of their emails. I love the deals that they send. I have 12 seasons on my computer, and I spent the same $$ as for 7 teams here.

I'm sure you could also use the "opt out" feature that they include at the bottom of [b:40ec39abda]every [/b:40ec39abda]email they send.

Sit back and have a beer.[/quote:40ec39abda]

Indeed it would be nice if Strat-O-Matic could give Bernie more assistance.

I (for one) like receiving the e-mails from SOM concerning sales and other items of interest. If they could expand their share of the market and bring in more customers and money maybe they could build an even better on-line game. And they appear to be doing just that. I like the new look of things.

Some of you see Rivs mad about stuff-
but what you dont realize is how many guys like myself he helped learn to play when they were newbies- I aint anywhere close to the only one.
Not to mention how many times he tried to improve the game itself.

Amen to the Rivs! This "transition" has been an absolute joke. I'm still waiting for my offer of credit(s). I'm guessing I shouldn't hold my breath.

Update, Tue. June 19

We'll be resuming Waivers tomorrow, Wed. June 20, for any leagues whose Waivers deadlines were supposed to be on Saturday (6/16), Sunday (6/17), Monday (6/18), Tuesday (6/19), or Wednesday (6/20). We'll be doing so with a cautious procedure that I'm currently outlining in detail; I'll have that outline posted here and on the site today. And, fwiw, we're still aiming to resume games this week (TBD), if everything cooperates.

I don't know why anyone thought this would go smoothly. SOM HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET. THEY DON'T PUT ANY EFFORT INTO CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THEIR GAMES (WHICH IS THEIR BREAD AND BUTTER) SO WHY WOULD THEY PUT ANY EFFORT INTO AN ONLINE GAME THAT THEY INHERITED. I KNOW MOST EVERYONE HERE HAS PROBABLY HAD OCCASION TO CALL THEM ON THE PHONE ABOUT A GAME OR AN ORDER THEY PLACED. DID YOU GET SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE? [b:6d6193cf6b]This has nothing to do with Bernie! Bernie has been great. This has to do with a company (SOM) that does not value and has no respect for it's customers![/b:6d6193cf6b][/size:6d6193cf6b][/color:6d6193cf6b]
[b:6d6193cf6b]I think Bernie should take over SOM. IMHO.[/b:6d6193cf6b][/size:6d6193cf6b]

I'm with Salt on the Rivs. I've talked to him on many occasions. He's a fascinating, multi-talented guy who is always willing to help out. His frustration (which I'm sure is shared by almost all of us) shows how much he loves this game. He, like Nev and Petro, has earned the right to complain when it's unavailable.

I'm not complaining about what's happened, not only because I respect Bernie for what he has done for this game (and myself personally), but also because I have NOT earned that right.
