will we have similar forums on the new site soon? I really think the forums add a lot to the game play experience.

Why mess around with more functionality rollout. Outsource it to Dan at Strat-Fan-Forum!

Are you suggesting to have Dan take over the forums for Strat Online? I heard some bad things about him and his power trip.

Lets just follow Bernie's lead here.

I think he is on the right track.

I prefer a one-stop shop for updates and I think most of us prefer it to be on this familiar message board format at this point.

1) The Strat-Fan Forum is indeed heavily monitored by Dan and enforced. Alot of what goes on here will not be acceptible there. A good reason to stay independent.

2) Too bad for it would benefit all if this forum could be seen at the SOM site. An excellent way to attract many good veteran SOM players to go Online. The SOM mothership has/is certainly not marketing Online.

3) Not going to happen. We here are considered Dodge City. Rude, crude and socially unacceptible. Just saying, not my opinion of course.

We would all face our offline bizzaro-selves and the world would implode--best to keep the status quo, imo.

I really hope the forum is NOT outsourced to STRAT FAN FORUM. While I enjoying going there to read others' posts you can not post there unless you have a paid e-mail account. And besides they are pretty uptight over there (which is their right) and I like the way Bernie setup the forums here. Hopefully the forums will stay similar to the way they are now, wherever they end up.

I had taken a break from the on-line gaming anyway, so I am patiently watching what is happening from a distance. I am hoping for the best for Bernie and all you guys. Good lucks.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think a better version of what we have here is all we need. These boards are pretty civil as it's a premium online expensive game. The high ticket price does naturally keep out the riff-raff. I think Bernie has something up his sleeve on a new message board on the SOM site. He is just way too far behind to worry about it right this minute.
