First Championship Team!

Just won my first championship last night (2011 season). Went 92-70 for the season and went 8-2 in the playoffs. I have made it to the finals a couple of other times and lost with other seasons, but finally took one!

same here. I can't believe the TS has all the same players on his team as my 11 game below .500 1986 team and he won a title.

On a serious note TS we can't see your team the way you posted it. You need to post it by going to team stats and then click on your team. If you look at the web address it will have an id number for your team which will allow us to look at it also. Right now the way you posted it we all see our own teams.

I don't really know what to say about your roster. I am not experienced playing the 2011 set but I have spent a while staring at your squad and I am blown away.

So many things go against my way of thinking when building a team. You won a title and I am not a very good player so I will keep staring at this to try to figure out how to learn from it.

I would never be comfortable with Reynolds in a platoon at 3B with those defensive ratings. Maybe at 1B but not 3B. 35 errors from a platoon is just an absolute ton but that was just one guy. It looks like your 3B platoon made [b:0024a9c54f]48[/b:0024a9c54f] errors. Holy crap. You made it work though.

I just completed a regular season where I started a 4e37 at 3B vs RHP and I was nervous all year. He only made 16 errors though. In the playoffs I don't have the guts to play him. Sure enough I start a better defender in game 1 and he makes 2 errors lol.

Nice job on this team. Congrats on your title. 2011 looks like a crazy set.

Johnson and Lester are also doing well in my league for other teams. The closer Bastard not so well for his team. I'm encouraged that you have strong defense up the middle and good arms. That was my #1 priority. Hopefully, I have the same results.

Thanks. Reynolds gave me 29 HRs so I can't complain. I used a 3-e37 @ 3b against LHP (13 errors) and a 2-e28 vs RHP (3 errors) for Def replacements and it worked out. 35 errors from Reynolds, and 15 from the other 2 platoon guys. I have another 2011 team that is in first place at the moment, but did not use a 5 at 3b this time so will see what happens.

I saw Reynolds play in person last year. His defense was the worst I've ever saw, but 3rd is a good place to hide your worst fielder.
