I had 4 injuries in one game the other day. What are the most injuries in one game you have ever seen?

I just lost a finals when McCann and Sandoval went down. If you play with fire, you can get burned.

I have had seasons where I wanted to rename my team to 4077th M*A*S*H because of all the injuries. However, I've never had four in one game.

I avoid them at all cost unless it is the Flirtin' w/ Disaster league and the name says it all. I would spend around 2MIL for one but when you spend more and watch them watch the game from the bench not a good idea for me.

In the 20XX game, it's nearly impossible to put together a solid lineup of 600+ PA guys, so I don't worry too much about that. When it comes to drafting, there is, however, a difference for me between guys with <600 PAs with a '1' injury rating and those with >'1' injury ratings. I might take a chance on one or maybe two with increased injury risk, but usually not more than that unless there's some sort of unlimited budget theme league.

The ATG game is different because 600+ PAs is almost the norm rather than the minority. There I take less chances with guys who can get the dreaded 15-game injury.

I try to avoid 2 injury guys. I prefer 600 PA guys but I don't mind carrying 3 or so non 600's if they are still injury 1's. I try to never have more than one starting injury 2 player if I can help it. I don't really count Catcher since in the 1986 set (only set I play) most catchers are at least injury 2.

I've made my living on picking high risk players and then complaining to the league all season that I always have 4 and 5 players out at any given time.

Luckily, once a year, my buddies run the Flirtin' W/Disaster league to where I can be on an even playing field at least one league a year. That theme league only allows one 600+PA player per team. I've had winning seasons 4 out of 5 Flirtin leagues. That's right in my wheelhouse...except the other guys steal some of my high risk favorite players in the draft. Curse them!

Anyway, my advice....pick the high risk guys. Don't be prejudice.

I've been experimenting for some time with taking inj guys. Seems like the card is around 20% cheaper than a non-inj card of the same stats.

If I make the playoffs, they should be rested. Hopefully they'll last long enough to make it through the semis, which is really all I want. If I lose in the finals, so be it.

You can take highly injurous (?) backups as well. I'm not sure if there's a 'max # team injuries', but it's been rumored. So the idea would be to stack up the injury queue with the Luke Scott's and Macier Izturis' of the world.

I started a series last night with 9 position players available. Only carry 13 hitters so 4 on the DL! Funny though, we swept big time outscoring opp. 33-8! Excellent job guys!
