has anybody ever used Frank Viola in 1986 set?

If so could you post stats or just tell me roughly how he did. I'm yet to see him used but I am curious about how his card will play. Has anybody had success with it?

He was used in both the 86 leagues I played.

Yankee Stadium: 27.1 ip - 5.60 era - 1.57 whip

Fulton Country Stadium: 172.1 ip - 6.53 era - 1.77 whip

ouch. I figured the stats wouldn't be good but that is tough to give 40 starts too even when it's cheap. I'll avoid him. Thanks.

There are many better tha Viola, especially for a hitting park. Off the top of my head, I think D Jackson, Seaver and D Alexander are all easily better.

thanks DurantJerry. I pulled off a trade for DeLeon so now I have to go real cheap for a 5th starter. I'll look at the guys you mentioned.
