Pendulum Theme League

Pendulum Theme League

Just floating this idea out there to see how it goes.

3 divisions:

East - Pitching
Central - Neutral
West - Hitting

80 mil, DH, 5/10/20

Pitching Division:
all 4 teams must play in any of the following parks: Petco, Kaufman, Target or O.co
All SP priced 5.69 (G Gonzalez) mil and above, and all RP priced 4 mil and more can ONLY belong to these teams.
These teams cannot own any pitchers less than 1 mil.
These team cannot own any hitters that are greater than 5 mil. All non-starters (a platoon would have 2 starters, but must be in starting lineup) have to be 500k

Hitting Division:
all 4 teams must play in any of the following parks: Yankees, Coors, Rangers or US Cell
All Hitters priced 7.92 mil (Pujols) and above can only belong to one of these teams.
These teams cannot own any hitter less than 1 mil.
These team cannot own any SP that are greater than 3 mil or any RP greater than 2m mil.

Neutral Division:
all 4 teams must play in any of the following parks: Nationals or Comerica
Can own any hitter 7.91 mil or below and any SP 5.6 and below as well as any RP 3.99 mil or below. No restriction on bench players.

The Draft:
Here is where it gets tricky. It will be an autodraft with waivers.
On your draft card the Neutral division get access too all hitters 7.91 mil to 5 mil, as well as all SP 5.68 to 3 mil and all RP 4 mil to 2 mil. For waivers and Free Agency, these rules do not apply, only for your draft card.

I.e. Even though pitching teams can use say Chris Carpenter on their team, they cannot place them on their draft card. If they get them as a missed pick, fine, but cannot draft them purposely. Same with hitting, though a hitting team could use Giambi, he can't be on the draft card.

I'm not sure if it will fly, but I thought it would be fun. Especially since since each division would be geared the same.

I will take the last spot, as to show I don't think any division is weaker or stronger.

Basic theme sounds fun! Any chance of a higher cap, maybe $100 or$120M (soft cap) since pitching and hitting teams will have alot of hight priced players give them some room to fill out rest of team?
Just a suggestion......maybe to simplify, make salary cut-offs for each division a round number like $7M instead of $7.91. If not, no biggie.....just thought might make more attractive to some owners.

Actually it's set there to give the top 16 highest prices hitters (or SP) for those divisions, which is why it is set like that

DO you mean the salary cap set at $80M or salary ranges for players?

80 mil cap, I like there to be enough for all teams to have good teams

Okay, I like to have more flexibility and I think it still allows for everybody to have a good team. Anyway, if you up the cap count me in!
