BJ Upton...brutal. Couldn't match his real life numbers with that card in Coors.

I want to know where that version of Miguel Montero that LMBomber has resides. It surely isn't on my team. Facing almost strictly righties in a platoon, he's still only .224/.321/.360. That's 90% ABs against RHP.

Granted, he's come a long way from how he started when he spent the first month firmly under the Mendoza line...

Fister, Doug 9-15 4.52 1.28 7.17M (team through 105 games)

Fowler, Dexter .183 .268 .260 .528 3.71M (team through 63 games)

both teams are in Fenway -- but Beltran and Gardner have been great!

Team #1 36-48
Francouer 8D 11HR 227/310/401
Kemp 9D 17HR 261/329/441

Team #2 46-38
M. Montero 186AB against RHP 269/329/522
R. Roberts 9D 10HR 220/306/348
J. Upton 11D 12HR 227/323/396

Team#3 This is where it gets really awful 35-49
Kennedy 5.09ERA/1.55WHIP
Eveland 4.86/1.65
R. Roberts 13D 12HR 204/289/371
A. Escobar 10D 0HR 191/207/255
B. Gardner 5D 4HR 238/323/358
J. Upton 18D 14HR 238/327/453
N. Swisher 10D 2HR 218/311/327

And I saved the best for last (on same team)

C. Granderson 9D 19HR [b:ffdb7131cd]189/280/407[/b:ffdb7131cd]

If it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all

[quote:b1bf2cbffd="coyote303"]My "ace" Brandon McCarthy is 2-14 after 105 games, after starting the year 0-10. However, his ERA is 4.29 (not good but not horrible either), so a lot of it is bad luck.
[/quote:b1bf2cbffd]

This is how bad Brandon's luck has been. His last game, I scored [b:b1bf2cbffd]18[/b:b1bf2cbffd] runs for him. He was pitching shutout baseball for 3 2/3 innings when he got injured.

Teixeira, 315 AB, .168 - .253 - .308

Yes, that's at Petco, but he's still terrible!

How have Todd Helton and Carlos Pena been for you guys?

In some of my leagues, they have been underachieving.

Define "underachieving" for Pena, the guy had a .225 batting average last year.

He only has [b:49a108b5fc]4.2[/b:49a108b5fc] points of hits against LHP on his card and [b:49a108b5fc]11.9[/b:49a108b5fc] against RHP. Facing the pitching he'll see in a 12 team league, your dreaming if you think he'll hit above the mendoza line.
Top it off with the fact that a lot of his home run prowess has been relegated to ball park homerun chances and unless your playing in an all Coors or Yankees Stadium league what exactly are you expecting???

I'll admit it's probably one of the most overpriced cards in the set, part of that is the defense, but even so I don't think his card is worth 1.5 mil. let alone 5+

If you were expecting him to hit his card numbers based on his price...
well all I'll say is look at the cards not the prices.
