My new handle is ClowntimeIsOver

"wachovia07" refers to the bad investment I made in Wachovia stock in 2007, which led me to want to have some hobby to get my mind off really scary stuff (staying alive, with money) and so I started playing online SOM

Warning! You are about to enter SOM's web site.

Postby coyote303 » Sat May 19, 2012 7:50 pm

A couple of things to watch for when you want to go to Strat-O-Matic's web site...

1. Remember the hyphens in the URL. If you leave them out, you will be wondering why you are back at the Sporting News Strat-O site.

Right: www.strat-o-matic.com
Wrong: www.stratomatic.com

2. Firefox users might want to use MS Internet Explorer. I normally use Firefox, but I always get weird script errors with it at SOM's site. The errors don't seem to be fatal, but who knows?

Note to Bernie: I hope this issue is fixed. A lot of people prefer to use Firefox.

I'll quit playing before I switch back to IE.

Bernie--I've had an account with Stat-O-Matic ever since the company went on-line. I had to change my e-mail address when I moved five years ago and, after you announced the merger, I changed my password so it was the same as my TSN password. My logon name and e-mail address is the same at both Strat and TSN. But I am having a devil of a time logging onto Strat now. Usually when I do so, I get a message that my log-on name already has been taken or is not recognized. Generally, after about three or four tries, I finally succeed.

Is this normal? Will it continue to happen after the switchover? And, finally, will there be directions as to how to find the on-line game?
