I see your point with Kal, [u:f36742e2c2]but he sure will feed on the RH's.[/u:f36742e2c2]

With all those LH's, I'd keep Knight. Morrison is just an expensive platoon. Tracy Jones is a stud as well vs. LH's, so he's a keeper.

Any lefty bats that hit LH's available? I always like to have one of those, on the cheap, to face those reverse LH's you will see.

A concern of mine for you are the sub 600PA guys that could go down for periods of time.

I agree about the sub 600 AB guys. But I hope that I have prepared for that well. I expect some injuries. I have Otis Nixon that can play well defensively and steal some bags for a stretch if Eric Davis or Cory Snyder get hurt for a while. Rickey and Chili Davis are over 600 AB's.

I have Gagne who plays 2B pretty well and isn't the worst at SS if Thompson or Guillen go down.

Knight and Morrison are both capable of playing everyday at 3B if one gets hurt.

Tracy Jones and Ray Knight can both play 1B if Horner gets hurt.

Sundberg is a solid replacement for Carter. Sundberg hit 19 HR and had 70 RBI as a starter for me a couple seasons ago plus he is a solid defender.

If Tracy Jones get hurt at DH I will let Morrison play DH and Knight play3B for the duration of the injury.

I spent a little more than I prefer on my bench just because of the injury potential. All are injury 1's except Carter at least so hopefully too many don't go down at once.

Do you think I need to add another backup?

Edit: I heard what you said. I decided it made more sense to add primary backups with better defense for both Thompson and Guillen by dropping Gagne and adding Biancalana and Templeton. That improves my defense with my backup at both positions, didn't really cost anything extra, and provides a similar amount of offense.

Dump Guillen (U have lots of backup help @ SS) for another backup OF.

Hi SoCal,

I made some big changes for better defense combined with getting more LH. I added Van Slyke and Alfredo Griffin and HoJo. Now I look much more prepared to hit RHP. My defense is really solid overall. I am a little worried about injuries but Griffin is an injury 0 so I didn't bother having a backup SS.

If Davis and Van Slyke get hurt at the same time I will simply have to play either Gary Carter or Tracy Jones in the OF. Tracy Jones is a 4e1 so bad range but at least he won't make errors if he has to play there for a bit. I still have until Monday to finalize my roster.

What do you think?

this team has made it to the finals somehow. Thanks for all the help guys. It really was critical for me as I was stumped. Y'all helped me win a free credit.

Thanks again.

won the title last night. I know it wasn't a great team and it barely had a positive run differential. You vets really helped me out with the advice as always. Thanks for that.

I feel like Jack Morris trying to qualify his HOF candidacy when he says he pitched to the score. I know this wasn't a great team by any stretch but I feel like I built this team to play to the score. It wasn't going to win a lot of high scoring games but I felt with speed, defense, some pop, and a bullpen of specialists it could win a lot of close ones.

The way it turned out I got blown out a decent amount and I won a lot of close games. Floyd Youmans and Lee Smith had tremendous seasons.

Danny Cox and Rickey Henderson were disappointing as it was my first season with either player. Henderson tore it up in the playoffs though and was probably my offensive MVP.

Overall this team was very frustrating and not nearly as strong as my first championship team. But this team played in Fenway and I'm a Sox fan so that part is cool. My first title was in Cleveland. If this is really 1986 I guess now I have to try to win at Wrigley lol.
