No S. Perez (catcher)??? He had 155 PA's.
No starter rating for Aceves?[/quote:91cf5d299d]

I'm shocked by no S. Perez.

Me too!! I'm not getting the decision to leave him out, especially since he's a catcher. A nice card yes, but surely not such a dominating one to omit him. he was in the top 50 for catchers for PA's in 2011.

and so it begins.

Just put 'em all in I say, forget 2 different sets, especially when those left out are done so seemingly arbitrarily

yea, I can't seem to get the wiki to load here at work. But we asked what the PA limit was to try and get them included, assuming they weren't out of line, and Bernie said 110.

Both De Aza (especially with a set practically devoid of anything with OBP and speed) and Perez both seem like glaring omissions.

But Giambi with less PA's and a card that is truly out of whack gets in? I don't get it?

Why is Perez not in the set? 150+ pa as a C.

I made trades in a couple of keeper leauges to get him.

yep, keeper leagues have gambles. De Aza had 150 AB's (170+PA's) and no card....both seem like they should be in.

also, I referenced that in the online game Sam Lecure (whip of 1.00) is now only a reliever whereas in the card/board game he is a starter/reliever. what is the break point (basis) for these decisions. I'd like to know for future knowledge as I got both of these guys for keeper league and are both worthless (or at least much less) now.

AJ Ellis also excluded, thought he'd be in.

Bernie, really appreciate your efforts, but those of us in keeper leagues really need your help to fix this issue next year. We have to take the guesswork out of this somehow.

You can take the guess work out by including everyone and price accordingly.

Hey guys,

I don't understand why those of you in keeper leagues who already drafted some of these cards in question don't just use the set especially designed for you, that includes these few cards.

Here's the general statement about "fluke" cards: http://somonline.wikia.com/wiki/Fluke_cards. Please read it, if you haven't already.

I don't believe I've ever said anything about 110 PAs - in fact, I've specifically denied the existence of any hard limits and resist adopting any, for reasons explained at the above link.

I don't have the time to go through each case individually and explain the motivation behind them right now, but please allow us the benefit of the doubt and trust that there are good reasons.

That said, there [i:75b16f6d95]are[/i:75b16f6d95] stricter guidelines for the SP/RP's whose SP ratings we remove. They are:

- started fewer than 10 games
- threw less than 40% of their IP as a starter
- are priced at $3M+ (this part is on the flexible side)
