[quote:3e15160081="Assmeriten"] I see vs lefties Wilkerson has slighty more than 20 hit points but then loses 9 in clutch.[/quote:3e15160081]
Hello Assmeriten (or anyone),
I am confused I looked at Wilkerson's card and don't understand the "20 hit points" or "9 in clutch". I know I am still a bit green at trying to read these things and I have read how to read the cards. But, I still don't believe I get it. I know that the $ designates clutch and the # is BPHR but where do you see the 20 hit points and the 9 in clutch?

Because you have to count:

1...for 2
2...for 3
3...for 4
4...for 5
5...for 6
6...for 7
5...for 8
4...for 9
3...for 10
2...for 11
1...for 12

So, counting the hits:

#2- fly(rf)B?

4- gb(2b)A+
$5- SINGLE(cf)

DO 2-20 ................ 6*19/20=5.7
8- strikeout
9- DO 1-6 ................. 4*6/20=1.2
fly(rf)B 7-20
#10- HR 1-18
fly(rf)B 19-20
#11- fly(rf)B?
12- gb(2b)A+

3- gb(2b)C
4- fly(lf)B?

7- SI* 1-5 ................... 6 * 5/20 =1.5
lineout 6-20

Thanks marcus, I knew that 5-9 had better odds. But never put math to it. Thanks again.

the $ sign is clutch or if it is in front of a hit it is anti clutch aka choke points. Also unless the split is a hit/out it gets full value. And I don't factor in ball park signles or homeruns.

trade offer I received

Postby Assmeriten » Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:23 pm

You give up:
Guzman, Freddy (500,000)
Chavez, Endy (1,530,000)
Griffey Jr., Ken (4,120,000)
Reese, Pokey (1,110,000)
Clayton, Royce (3,620,000)

Other team gives up:
Bocachica, Hiram (2,520,000)
Dejesus, David (3,190,000)
Vizquel, Omar (4,090,000)
Reyes, Jose (760,000)

Cash Available Now: $1,130,000
Cash Available After Trade: $1,450,000

Who if any would be getting the better of this trade? Reyes would become the pinch runner. I presume Boachica and Dejesus combo in the OF. Vizquel was on my DC for SS and got Clayton AD.

Here is the link to the team who made me the offer. http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2005/team/team_other.html?user_id=49282 Their homepark is the Cell.

I think it's a case where both teams probably get better.

In your case, you get a very strong platoon in Bocachina/DeJesus. According to my numbers, this platoon produces as much as Mohr, and costs only 0.5M than Mohr---and this 0.5M is not completely wasted, given that you end up with a better bench. I see either Vizquel or Dejesus as a strong #2 candidate. And this trade opens you a room to grab a dh vs rhp that you could place #3. Bocachica becomes a very strong #2 vs lhp.

In his case, he gets Griffey in a stadium that is a better fit for his power.

And the acquisition of Reyes is nice. Will provide both defensive back-up for ss, 2b, and one of the best pinch runner.

BTW, according to my numbers, looking strickly at offensive values, Lowell has the 150th best card vs rhp. To me, this is totally unacceptable from the #3 spot, even though you have a pitching-oriented team.

Among potential free agents, I see Hollandsworth setting at the 29th spot. Millar appears 52th. Stewart appears 44th. (these numbers don't factor in injuries, though)

Garrett Anderson appears 56th on the list: one of the best value for the money.

Would a package with any of my closers get you to trade Santana?

If I do the trade which the other team is pushing me to decide because they have another deal in the works that gets them jetter who do I pick up to DH vs righties. The money options shows I could afford:

Higginson
Jones
Tucker
Delluci

I also have offered a trade to a different team where I offered Kolb for Guardado since he plays in BankOne. Since Guardado is his only lefty in the pen he might turn it down if so do I dump Kolb for Carrara, Urbina, or Kline?

Well, I dumped one of my closers. Doubt you'd trade Santana for Percival.
