just remember the above are idealized and often don't happen. so in this situation it would be proper to lead castillo off and bat freel 2nd... i wouldn't drop either to the nine spot.

That is what I am now going to do. I started off sticking to the basic formula too strictly and had Castillo 9th, simply because of his good OBP when he is obviously better served in the leadoff spot with Freel #2. Hopefully I can start to score a few more runs with those two at the top.

Thanks for the advice. This forum has helped me learn so much since I started playing this game in May. I am now totally hooked.
