I know we have discussed thi sproblem before, but I forget. What are the guidelines for getting a card?

1) 300 ABs?
2) 60+ IP for Reliver/100 for Starter?

[quote:bdb04cf8f4]No real set numbers DT -- depends on the quality of the card.

If it sucks, they will go as low as 29 and 2/3 IP and as low as 40 AB.

If the card has a really good side, or is good overall it becomes sketchy after that.

Really good RP's will get a card in the 30's (IP's) but really good sp's almost never will.

C's below 150 AB's who have really good #'s are much less likey to get a card than a position player and almost no one will get a card with decent numbers below 100 AB's, and if it's REALLY good certainly not below 150 AB's as well.

These are some general guidelines that I have followed but TSN has not done anything to make me think they are hard and fast.

That Pratt got a card in 2003 is as much an aberration as Baerga NOT getting a card but as far as the rest were concerned these guidelines held up.

Hope this helps DT.[/quote:bdb04cf8f4]

Sandy put that up- does anyone have anything more concrete?

One thing they do here though is eliminate certain players who do get cards because they will greatly alter the balance of the game.

Melhuse 2 years ago didn't get an online card.. same w/ Baerga.

Wouldn't shock me if Zach Duke doesn't make the online game and yet has a SOM card.

I think Duke will get a card, if he comes back and makes another 2-3 starts...

That would give him 12-13 starts (has 10 now).

If he gets 12 starts, averages 6.1 innings a start he would be just a plain S6 no *....

If its a lights out card, expect him in the, ohhh, 5-7 million range with the new pricing guidlines TSN has started using in 2005
